  Overview

  The GGD-type AC low-voltage switchgear is suitable for power distribution systems in power plants, substations, industrial and mining enterprises, and other electricity‑using facilities, operating at 50 Hz, with a rated voltage of 380 V and a rated current of up to 3150 A. It is used for the conversion, distribution, and control of electrical energy in power, lighting, and distribution equipment.

  The GGD-type AC low-voltage switchgear is a new-generation low-voltage distribution cabinet designed in accordance with the requirements of the competent authorities under the Ministry of Energy, as well as those of power users and design institutes, adhering to the principles of safety, economy, rationality, and reliability. The product features high breaking capacity, excellent dynamic and thermal stability, flexible electrical configurations, convenient modular assembly, strong series‑product compatibility and practicality, a novel structural design, and a high degree of protection. It can serve as an upgraded replacement for conventional low-voltage complete switchgear assemblies.

  GGD-type AC low-voltage switchgear complies with standards such as LEC 439 “Low-Voltage Switchgear and Controlgear Assemblies” and GB 7251.1 “Low-Voltage Switchgear and Controlgear Assemblies.”

  Terms of Use:

  1. The ambient air temperature shall not exceed +40°C nor fall below -5°C. The 24-hour average temperature shall not exceed +35°C.

  2. For indoor installation and use, the altitude of the installation site shall not exceed 2,000 m.

  3. The relative humidity of the surrounding air shall not exceed 50% at a maximum temperature of +40°C; at lower temperatures, higher relative humidities are permissible (e.g., 90% at +20°C). Consideration should be given to the potential for occasional condensation caused by temperature fluctuations.

  4. During equipment installation, the inclination relative to the vertical plane shall not exceed 5%.

  5. The equipment shall be installed in a location free from severe vibration and impact, and where corrosive conditions that could damage electrical components are absent.

  6. When users have special requirements, they may negotiate with the manufacturer to resolve them.

 

  Installation and Usage:

  Upon arrival at the receiving location, the product should first be inspected to ensure that the packaging is intact and undamaged. Any issues discovered should be promptly reported to the relevant departments for investigation. For products that are not installed immediately, they should be stored in an appropriate location in accordance with the requirements for normal operating conditions.

 

  Product Installation:

  Product installation shall be carried out in accordance with the installation diagram. The foundation channel steel and bolts are to be provided by the user. During main busbar installation, the mating surfaces must be smoothed and cleaned, coated with neutral petroleum jelly or treated by other appropriate measures, and then securely fastened with bolts.

  After installation is complete and prior to commissioning, the following inspections and tests shall be performed:

  a. Inspect the cabinet’s topcoat for any peeling, and ensure the interior is dry and clean.

  b. The operating mechanisms of electrical components shall be flexible, with no sticking or excessive operating force.

  c. Verify that the make-and-break operations of the main electrical components are reliable and accurate, and that the auxiliary contacts operate reliably and precisely.

  d. Verify that the instrument readings, the transformation ratio of the current and voltage transformers, and their polarity are accurate.

  e. Verify that busbar connections are secure and that insulating supports, mounting hardware, and accessories are firmly and reliably installed.

  f. Verify that the auxiliary contacts meet the specified requirements, that the fuse element is of the correct rating, that the relay setting values comply with the design specifications, and that the operation is accurate.

  g. Do the circuit contacts comply with the requirements of the electrical schematic?

  h. Whether the protection circuit system meets the requirements.

  i. The insulation resistance measured with a 500-volt megohmmeter shall not be less than 1 megohm.
