Overview
The SC(B)10 series 20 kV class epoxy‑cast, no‑excitation‑regulating dry‑type transformer utilizes a F‑class epoxy resin compound with filler. After vacuum thin‑film degassing, the windings—high‑ and low‑voltage coils reinforced with glass‑fiber forming meshes—are cast in thin layers under vacuum and pressure. This results in a dry‑type transformer with exceptionally high mechanical strength, electrical strength, and thermal resistance. As the 20 kV voltage level falls between 10 kV and 35 kV, it offers advantages such as a longer service radius, reduced voltage drop, lower line losses, and decreased non‑ferrous metal consumption, thereby addressing the limitations of 10 kV distribution networks. Consequently, 20 kV distribution transformers are key products strongly recommended by State Grid Corporation and provincial authorities.
Product Features
1. Flame-retardant, explosion-proof, pollution-free, maintenance-free, and capable of decentralized installation at the load center, thereby reducing capital investment and lowering costs.
2. Low losses and excellent energy-saving performance deliver significant operational cost savings.
3. Partial discharge level is less than 10 pC; the coil is non-hygroscopic and dust‑resistant, with high mechanical strength and excellent reliability, resulting in cost savings.
4. Excellent short-circuit resistance and superior lightning‑impulse withstand capability.
5. The enclosure is available in three materials—stainless steel, cold‑rolled sheet steel, and aluminum alloy—and comes in two configurations: forced‑air ventilation and natural heat dissipation. Cable entry and exit can be configured as top‑in/top‑out, bottom‑in/top‑out, or bottom‑in/bottom‑out.
6. The transformer can be equipped with a temperature control and display system upon customer request, and can be used in conjunction with a temperature control system.
