This device is an indoor, metal-clad, withdrawable switchgear (hereinafter referred to as the switchgear), a complete distribution unit for 3–10 kV three-phase AC systems operating at 50 Hz, configured with either a single busbar or a single busbar with sectionalization. It is primarily used in power plants for delivering power from small and medium-sized generators, in industrial, mining, and public‑enterprise distribution networks, and in secondary substations of the electric utility system for receiving and supplying power, as well as for starting large high‑voltage motors. It provides control, protection, and monitoring functions. This switchgear complies with the requirements of standards such as DL/T 404, JEC 298, and GB 3906, and incorporates interlocking features that prevent: operating the circuit breaker handcart under load; inadvertently opening or closing the circuit breaker; closing the circuit breaker while the earthing switch is in the closed position; entering a live compartment; and closing the earthing switch when energized. It can be equipped with either VS vacuum circuit breakers or ABB’s VD4 vacuum circuit breakers, making it a distribution device of superior performance.

  Overview

  Structural Overview

  The switchgear is designed in accordance with the armored metal-enclosed switchgear specified in GB 3906. It consists of two main components: the cabinet body and a centrally positioned withdrawable unit (i.e., a handcart), as shown in Figure 1. The cabinet is divided into four separate compartments, with an enclosure protection rating of IP4X; when the compartment doors or the circuit breaker compartment door are open, the protection rating drops to IP2X. Equipped with overhead cable inlet/outlet options and other functional configurations, it can be arranged and combined to form distribution devices of various configurations. This switchgear allows for installation, commissioning, and maintenance from the front, enabling back-to-back double‑row arrangements and wall‑mounted installations, thereby enhancing safety and flexibility while reducing the footprint.

 

  Ordering Instructions

  When placing your order, please provide the following parameters:

  a. Main wiring scheme number and single-line diagram, arrangement diagram, and plan layout drawing;

  b. Secondary function diagram and terminal arrangement diagram; if no terminal arrangement diagram is available, follow the manufacturer’s terminal numbering sequence.

  c. The model, specifications, and quantity of the electrical components in the switchgear;

  d. Summary Table of Electrical Equipment;

  e. When busbar bridges are required (both inter‑cabinet and wall‑to‑cabinet types), the span and height dimensions must be provided.

  f. When the switchgear is to be used under special environmental conditions, such requirements shall be specified at the time of order.

  g. When additional or supplementary documents are required, the type and quantity shall be specified.
