Overview
The HXGN-12(F) and HXGN-12(FR) type box-type fixed AC metal-clad ring‑main switchgear is designed for 10 kV, 50 Hz three‑phase AC distribution systems. It provides control, distribution, and switching functions for branch circuits in switch stations and is widely used in ring‑network and terminal power supply applications, as well as in packaged substations.

Operating environmental conditions
Ambient air temperature: upper limit +40°C, lower limit -25°C.
Altitude not exceeding 1000 m;
Relative humidity: daily average ≤ 95%, monthly average ≤ 90%;
The surrounding air shall not be significantly contaminated by corrosive or flammable gases, water vapor, or other such substances.

Structural and functional characteristics
The cabinet is divided into a busbar compartment and a switchgear compartment.
The cabinet features an assembled structure, ensuring stability and reliability.
It features a unique movable‑door structure, providing excellent protective performance. After the load switch is opened, the movable door automatically isolates the disconnection point, separating the incoming line and busbar compartment from the switchgear compartment, ensuring safe and reliable inspection and maintenance.
The modular configuration is highly flexible, enabling the formation of ring‑network power supply units and a variety of wiring schemes (see the typical main wiring diagram).
The three phases are arranged in a front-to-back configuration, resulting in a compact cabinet width and minimal floor space. Arc extinction is achieved using a compressed-air principle, ensuring stable and reliable breaking performance.
The operating mechanism is available in both manual and electric versions.
The mechanical interlocking is advanced and reliable, meeting the “five-protection” requirements. Both the load switch and the earthing switch can be locked in either the open or closed position, and interlocking among the load switches can be implemented according to a prescribed sequence.
The main component—load switch and fuse—is easy to replace.
No environmental pollution; no risk of fire or explosion.
Can be equipped with a shunt trip release.
It can be equipped with a live‑display device and a phase‑comparison device.
