The S11‑M series fully sealed distribution transformers eliminate the oil conservator, instead using the corrugated tank’s finned walls as heat‑dissipating cooling elements. These fins expand and contract with changes in the oil level, isolating the transformer interior from the atmosphere and preventing oil degradation, insulation moisture absorption, and aging, thereby enhancing operational reliability. The tank welds are full, smooth, even in thickness, and free of leaks. The core is constructed from 0.23 mm high‑permeability laser‑grooved laminations arranged in a stepped five‑level joint structure, which helps reduce no‑load losses and no‑load current, making this a new‑generation environmentally friendly product. Anti‑loosening nuts are used to secure and clamp the core. The high‑voltage windings are multi‑layered, with interlayer insulation provided by adhesive‑coated paper to enhance mechanical strength. The low‑voltage windings are either layered or of a novel helical design; interlayer insulation also employs adhesive‑coated paper, and the low‑voltage windings feature formed end rings that provide gapless, complete support, ensuring excellent mechanical strength. For pressure protection, a pressure relief valve is installed; for gas protection, QJ4‑type gas relays are used for units above 800 kVA. Units of 1,000 kVA and above are equipped with remote‑readout temperature gauges for monitoring oil temperature at a distance.
